Located at 861 Main Street, the Gardendale Senior Center offers many activities tailored to the needs and abilities of our patrons.Every day there are card games, dominoes, board games, and puzzles in the sun rooms and lounge.
Lunch is served at 11:30 five days a week and is on a first come first served basis.
Mondays and Thursdays, FREE Bingo is played with enthusiasm at 9:30 am.
Tuesdays, three local bands take turns playing from 9:30 until lunchtime. Skip and Friends, The Kimbrough Brothers, and The Old Timers provide a variety of styles of music.
Tuesday evenings: 6:00 – 9:00 pm, there is a dance led by The Men in Black.
Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am, Coffee with Christ devotion followed by Senior Yoga at 10 am.
First Wednesdays: Book Club at noon
Second & Fourth Wednesdays: Bunko at noon
Thursdays, FREE Bingo at 9:30 am & Bridge Club.
First Thursdays: Shopping Queens
Fridays, Exercise Class begins at 9:30 with Lisa Sims.
Second Fridays: Golden Eagles meeting
Fourth Fridays: Golden Eagles field trip
Competitive games such as cards, dominoes, Scrabble, and Wii bowling take place all over the center.
Spanish Class – to be announced at each class.
Seasonal parties, birthday potlucks, special entertainment, fun and games occur on different days.
